Ajayi, Yusuf, Chikatara In CAF Champions League Battles Wednesday

Nigerian striker Oluwafemi 'Junior' Ajayi will make his fifth appearance in the Total CAF Champions League competition for his Egyptian side,  Al Ahly when they take on Chisom Chikatara's Wydad Casablanca in Morocco on Wednesday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Ajayi was on target for The Red Castle in their 2-0 win in the reverse fixture, and another victory for the Ahly,  and their coach Hossam El Badry will ensure they advance to the knockout phase for the first time since winning the title for an eighth time in 2013 when they beat Orlando Pirates of South Africa in the final.
The Egyptian champions and Zanaco of Zambia top Group D with seven points after three games, while Wydad Casablanca have three points and Coton Sport of Cameroon none.
Ajayi's compatriot, Chikatara, has made one appearance in the competition this season and has not been listed for the encounter tomorrow at the Mohamed Benjelloun complex in Casablanca.
In Algiers, the Nigerian pair of Stanley Ohawuchi and Maroof Yusuf will be in action for the 2016 beaten finalist Zamalek when they take on USM Alger on Wednesday in a Group B encounter at the Stade du 5 Juillet, Dély Ibrahim.
Both players have been listed in the 21 man squad, with Yusuf poised for his fifth appearance this season. Ohawuchi will make his sixth appearance if he gets to play. The former national U-23 star has scored twice and provided one assist so far.
The White Knights’ previous match against the Algerian side ended in a thrilling 1-1 draw, which maintained Zamalek’s first place position in Group B with 5 points.
USM Alger and Al Ahli Tripoli are in second and third positions respectively with four points though USM have a superior goal difference while CAPS United from Zimbabwe are fourth with three points.
